I am a Number 1 Amazon Best Selling Author!
I received a Facebook message from my friend John last week on Wednesday at 4.02PM that read “Congrats mate you are now a Amazon number 1 best selling author!”
You could have knocked me down with a feather at the time, but here I am a week later, and to be honest it still hasn’t really sunk in yet!
After all, it’s not every day you make it to #1 the best selling authors list!
The background
I first became friends on Facebook with John in September 2014 as we were both members of the Facebook group “I Love Personal Development”.
Eventually I discovered that John was a life coach, running his business from Bali in Indonesia.
We had a couple of Skype chats and discussed business and personal development.
Eventually John approached me in early 2015 about a project he had been working on, which was a book of inspirational stories about overcoming challenges and he asked if I wanted to be a part of it and write a chapter telling my story.
After some initial reluctance, I set about writing my chapter, and a few weeks later I sent it in for a first edit.
After a bit of back and forth it was finished, and now all I had to do was sit back and wait for the book to launch.
The launch
Eventually the book was set to launch on Amazon on November 30 and it was a bit of a nervous wait!
But launch it did, and a couple of days later it hit number one!
To be honest it still hasn’t really set in yet, but I am definitely proud to have been a part of this project that is for sure!
At the moment I have read several of the stories in the book and they are truly inspirational to say the least.
I have to admit that I never thought that I would be a part of writing a successful book, and several years ago I never would have imagined doing what I am doing now.
It just goes to show that it is never too late to change your life and you never know what is around the corner if you’re open to it!
