When I create my blog posts I like to concentrate on creating good quality content that is of value.
Even though Google likes good engaging content and always takes this into consideration. To get your content ranked on Google’s first page you must utilise search engine optimisation (SEO) and keyword research is a very important part of this process.
So what are keywords?
When someone uses a search engine, they type in one or more words describing what they are looking for: For example “Cheap holidays in Sydney” or “How to cook a roast dinner”. These words or phrases are known as keywords.
The search engine then comes back with a list of web pages, displaying content that relates to the keyword used.
So when you are creating content for your website you want to ensure that when people search for relevant keywords, your website appears as early as possible in the list of results.
The easiest way to do this is to go for the low hanging fruit!
What the hell is low hanging fruit?
Low hanging fruit is another name for targeted and sometimes long-tailed keywords that have low competition which then generates a lot of traffic to your site.
This makes it easier for you to get higher rankings on google!
How do I find this low hanging fruit?
Rather than just using trial and error, the best may to find these targeted keywords is to utilise a keyword tool.
