Is Wealthy Affiliate a Scam or NOT?

Is Wealthy Affiliate a scam or not?

Wealthy Affiliate is promoted as the #1 affiliate marketing community online today!

But is Wealthy Affiliate a scam or not?Scam? My road to financial freedom

The Internet is flooded with heaps of “make money online” opportunities and get rich quick schemes promising huge riches with very little effort!

It seems obvious to me that the majority being promoted are most definitely scams and should not be touched with a barge poll!

It is my belief that there is no such thing as a free lunch, and anything worthwhile takes some work – including making money online.

Unfortunately though, a lot of people still buy into these scams and realise far too late after the scammers have taken their money, that they are left with very little reward.

What is Wealthy affiliate?

As I mentioned before, Wealthy Affiliate is regarded as being the #1 affiliate marketing community online today.

They provide training on affiliate marketing, building websites, internet marketing, building online businesses and so much more.

They also offer tools such as website hosting, a website builder and a keyword research tool.

And there is a live support forum, as well as having the ability to ask questions to thousands of experienced, successful internet marketers.

Now you may be thinking “this all sounds really good… but is it a scam”?

So is Wealthy Affiliate a scam or not?

Now in full disclosure, I have been a premium member of Wealthy Affiliate since 2013, but having had an extended experience within their inner circle, I can offer several reasons why I believe that Wealthy Affiliate is definitely NOT a scam.

  • Try before you buy – WA has a free starter membership.

You can sign up for a free membership with no credit card details required that will give you access to a 10 lesson entrepreneur certification getting started course. This course will give you the basic skills to build a successful online business for the long-term. This training is of far greater value than many other paid courses that are available today.

  • The free membership gives you two FREE websites, which you can build out in any niche market any way that you like.
  • There is also a community forum where you can ask as many questions as you like. As well as having access to the owners and numerous other experienced internet marketers and entrepreneurs.
  • There is no hard sell – There is a premium membership at $47 per month that offers unlimited website hosting as well as an enormous amount of extra training, tools and support. However there is no hard sell and no obligation to upgrade.
  • You can remain a FREE member forever – There is no requirement to upgrade and you can access the free membership for as long as you want.
  • You can cancel your membership at anytime – Whether a Premium or starter member, you can cancel your membership at any time with a simple push of a button, no questions asked!
  • This is NOT a get rich quick scheme! – WA will give you the skills to build a successful online business the right way… long-term!

Final Verdict: Scam Free!

So in my opinion Wealthy Affiliate is most definitely not a scam!

You can try before you buy and the amount of value with the FREE membership alone is better than the majority of training courses on the net today.

But the best part is the amount of support available.

It really is a community of people that want you to have success online, and I believe this has been the number one reason why WA has been such a success for myself, and if you have the right commitment and desire… will be for you too!

So if you want to build the foundations of a successful online business the right way, I recommend that you join Wealthy Affiliate today!

Try it – It’s FREE!

  1. Great site, John! I am also with WA and have a website in place, building content, and still learning. No money yet, but I know it will come. Looking for a mentor outside of the WA site itself–yet still tied to it. I think I have found my mentor!

  2. I have been working online for a few years. Over the years I have seen different website building platforms and affiliate training programs. Wealthy Affiliate is the one program I have found that is designed for people of all skill levels, all age, and anyone who is willing to learn how to get started for FREE in just 7 days.

  3. Hey, John

From what you have mentioned about all the garbage get rich quick schemes on the internet, I can see why people might be skeptical when it comes to Wealthy Affiliate.

However, people have NOTHING to fear because I signed up for the Free Wealthy Affiliate starter account, and it is a perfectly 100% LEGIT affiliate marketing training platform that will help people to set up online businesses and succeed “IF” they follow the training and work hard because “easy money” is a false claim by the “Gurus.”

WOW! You have certainly outlined some Awesome reasons and provided people with a strong verdict on why Wealthy Affiliate is SCAM FREE!

    • Thanks for your feedback Neil, I appreciate it.
I am glad that you have taken action and signed up for the free Wealthy Affiliate starter account, I know you won’t regret it!
I totally agree with the “easy money and Guru claims” and appreciate your vote of confidence in Wealthy Affiliate’s training.
Best of luck with your online business 🙂

  4. Hi John,

Is Wealthy Affiliate a scam or not? I think anyone who has tried the educational platform knows that it’s not a scam.

I could see how some people come into thinking their going to put up a site right away and have overnight success could get upset and blindly label it as a scam. But these are people that are unrealistic and uneducated. There also the same people who go from internet marketing product to product thinking it’s going to be the new holy grail.

Wealthy Affiliate trained me how to create my first successful online business and there was no scam about it. It was real education, real application of newly acquired education and then taking action on what I learned that allowed me to have success.

WA never tells you your going to get rich or how much money you will make, they just teach you how the process works. But it’s up to the individual to make it happen. Excellent post and points John, nice work.

    • You make some excellent points Todd and I totally agree!!
Anyone who promises you will get rich quick doing anything online is in my opinion a scammer!
The thing about an online business though, is that it IS POSSIBLE to get rich a lot quicker than in most “normal” jobs, but it is still going to take learning something different and some hard work!
I like the saying: Spend a few years of your life now doing what most people won’t, to get what most people don’t!
Thanks for your comment and feedback 🙂

  5. Hi John,

This article brought back memories of when I first joined WA last year. I actually jumped into the free trial expecting to be blasted with “You are going to get rich” kind of messages. But they never came.

Instead you get messages from Kyle and Carson like “If you work hard, you can certainly achieve your goals”. That’s very mentoring and down-to-earth if you asked me. You CAN’T get rich over night at WA because it’s NOT a scam. It’s a training site and community site. Period.

    • That is the great thing about WA Cathy, it does not promise overnight success, but success over the long-term by following the training and working hard.
It is certainly a breath of fresh air from all the scams that come to my inbox or that I see on social media these days.
Thanks for your comment and I wish you the best in your online journey.

  6. Hi John,
Being a WA insider since 2013 catapults your opinion into one of authority. You’ve experienced quite a lot and heard what others have/had to say. Your insights bring clarity. Excellent review.
